#1 Have a new look
This may be difficult because you’ve gotten used to looking a certain way, wearing similar weaves or hair-do, or having the same dressing style for years. It may seem uncomfortable, but you need to shake it off a little bit. Try on a new hairstyle and try out other fashion style. You’d be amazed how great you’d look and feel.

Books are magic doors to different worlds, they expand your horizon, grant you access into the minds of amazing men and women, and sharpen your thinking skills. Reading is definitely great for your mental health. Go on, make a list of at least hundred books you’d love to read before you clock forty.
#3 Cook like a top chef

#4 Break a bad habit

#5 Pursue your dreams, then make it work
Don’t just be a dreamer, be a doer as well. Your dream is possible, it doesn’t matter what anyone thinks or says. Many great inventions were once deemed impossible, but look at the world today, those supposedly impossible dreams are fanning throughout the world. Don’t let nothing or anyone, even your doubts stop you from reaching your dreams.

A journal is like a rear mirror, it lets You see where you’ve been, where you are and where you could be. Most times we get carried away by the busyness of life, that we forget to pamper ourselves. You deserve the best things of life, so decide to save up and buy yourself something really expensive, without feeling guilty about it. You deserve a little bit of luxury.
#8 Let go of grudges and be happy
There’s not a single person on heart that has not been hurt by someone, it’s a part of human experience; to err is human and to forgive is divine. People will step on your toe every now and then, and may hurt you deeply. But then, a grudge is no better, it hurts of even more. Hard as it may seem, take your time and find a way to forgive the people that hurt you. You are in charge of your own happiness, not let anything or anyone steal that away from you.

#10 Visit a country with rich cultural heritage
Traveling is one way to get in touch with other people from around the world, you learn to appreciate diversity, landscape, food, culture and language. You can make a least of countries with rich history and culture. You’d definitely come back enlightened.
The list of things to do before you clock 40 is inexhaustible, there is just so much you could do. And whether you’re 40, less than 40 or past 40, all that counts is what you decide to make of your life, it’s all up to you to smell the roses, watch the sun rise and set, take a walk, see the beautiful things of nature.
